The background and origins of the tree data and the 2024 Project report
The core of the ‘All Bicknells’ tree was formed from the 2000+ records contained in the two major genealogy publications from Thomas. W. Bicknell, Phyllis Bicknell Carroll’s – 1981 Supplement, with observations made by Sidney Algernon Bicknell in his book – The Five Pedigrees.
Following the re-formation of the Bicknell Association in January 2021, the countless years of research by Bobby Coray, Marcus Bicknell, Lisa Junkins, Susanne Mori, Del Bicknell and Sewzi von Shorthausen was merged into the tree. Following this, our gratitude goes to many other members of the Bicknell Genealogy team who continue to this day to review and add citations to the records and build the tree further.
It now contains over 23,000 people and 4,000 images (Photos, Newspaper cuttings and headstones)
